What’s supposed to be the most image-heavy post of the year turned out to be a bit meager. My grandmother fell ill in the first week of December and passed away. Time seemed to slow down which, in all it’s relativity, would mean I was moving very fast. The cremation was intimate and just how we wanted it.

The cremation was beautifully arranged by the wonderful Esther and Saskia from Strikt Persoonlijk Uitvaart. The artwork of flowers was done by Anneke Kapteyn. You may have read my previous post where I showed you the card I made for my grandmother.

Before the holidays started we had a celebration at school which is something I still have to get used to. Lots of people, lots of kids, very little space and an overload of excitement. We were instructed to make a wooden ornament so that all the kids would get something similar.

After all the construction stuff in my house was done it was time to clean up. I’m now pretty much ready to put in the new kitchen floor, build the working space I always wanted and move my stuff back into place.

Like most years, I have one more bucket list post standing by before the year ends. 🙂 I hope you all had warm and wonderful days. I for one, am certainly looking forward to a new year of blogging!
