September, for us, meant the start of a new chapter. That first day of school went by faster than I could have imagined. It took me a few days to realize that my baby will be in school for at least the next 15 years of our lives. Luckily my mother joined us to keep me from having a mental breakdown. đŸ™‚

After school I picked him up and took him to his favorite lunchroom to have some grilled cheese sandwiches. After ten minutes, this was my view across the table. đŸ™‚ I’m still telling myself that it’s because of an exhausting day and has nothing to do with my entertaining qualities.

Two weeks later we both came down with a nasty flu and ear infection. We spend the next week in bed with an iPad. My friend’s bachelorette party was due that Friday, hence the fancy nails. Unfortunatly I had to cancel because of the boy’s fever.

My mother was just as sick as we were and so we decided to postpone her birthday until we all felt better. I wrapped up her present (last minute ofcourse) and booked tickets for the “NASA: A Human Adventure” exhibition. It was an amazing experience, really lived up to the hype. I could have stayed there all day long but the boy was getting tired. I’m definitely going back a second time.
